Hi all,

I have an analysis workbook which used to run fine before the BW object migration that happened last week. I see the period values going 3 months backward and user complained the issue.

I have checked the BW RSRT query and even created a webi test report and everything seem okay but why analysis wb gives this error

Kindly provide any inputs,

Kris

Hello Kris,

it looks like your variables are type "selection option", but you have not enabled the contains pattern functionality?! Without that it doesn't make sense

In RSRT those options are present by default. In AO not...

Check this document: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-55903

Thanks for your response Martin,

I am sorry I did not quite understand what you mean because I have single value selection both in Period1 and Period2 such as July/007, 2015 and July/007, 2014 and I see this contains pattern option about selecting let us say all plant names that have Chicago in them, ex: Chi*

In my case the issue is when I select 007 it is actually going back 3 months/Quarter it is quite bizarre why does it do that.

Please provide your inputs

Hi Kris,

ok, now I really understood your issue...

When you enter Period 007 and it shows April then it is related to the fiscal year variant "V9":

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/141842

For "V9" your fiscal year starts in October = Period 001 and so April = Period 007.

I can't imagine how this should be realted to AO. It should be the same in RSRT?

Regarding variables, it might make sense to read through that:

Working with Variables - Business Intelligence - SAP Library

Can you check if your period infoobject is compounded to 0fiscvarnt ?

Best regards,

Martin
