PcdCheckTool Exception

Hi All,

We are using Enterprise Portal 7.30 and 7.31 .

We want to run the PcdCheckTool to resolve the inconsistencies, but when we run the PcdCheckTool.bat or PcdCheckTool.sh, we see an exception in the console with error:

FATAL: Main class "com.sapportals.portal.pcd.admintools.standalone.console.MainConsole" cannot be started:

FATAL: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Malformed \uxxxx encoding.

Is that a familiar issue ?

Hi Sharon,

Yes, this is already known issue.

You only need to run the PcdCheckTool to remove inconsistencies.

To check for inconsistencies you can use the NetWeaver Administrator (NWA) monitors, as described in SAP KBA 2225655 - PCD Check tool central note.

This KBA also resolve the error.
