EDI to IDOC issue

Hi All,

I have a requirement EDI to IDOC.

in configuration scenario I have configured sender cc as AS2 adapter.

as per my knowledge AS2 adapter does classifier, conversion and splitter.

Here I don't understand why do we need to use again split997 adapter?

as AS2 adapter sends us EDI XML format right, then that format we can directly send it Integration engine and go for further steps and can post the idoc into ecc system.

what is the purpose of using split997?

Hi Sumathi,

As far as I know, it splits the message depending on the number of UNH it contains. See this blog for more information

Hi Sumathi,

As you mentioned, the AS2 adapter/channel would pick the EDI interchange document, perform classification, conversion to EDI xml and the splitter module will in turn send the individual EDI types (xml) to its respective interfaces (Invoice/Orders/DespatchAdvice etc) for further execution in PI.

Splitter channel would basically act as a sender channel or an entry point for an ICO or Sender agreement which is specific to a type to EDI xml.
