Does anyone have a document that outlines the PROS and CONS of SF's RMK module hosted versus an integrated solution? If so, please share. Thanks
Hi Gaye;
I spoke to our internal RMK expert and he said this which makes sense to me. With the differences below, I would say the customer has so much more work and risk as SF will not support anything that is configured outside the SF system.
Hosted: All the pages (Career home page and featured pages) are hosted by SuccessFactors. When applicants click on career link on the corporate site, it will re-direct them to SF pages.
Integrated: Some customers try to manage the Career home page internally. In that case they can take the integrated approach. In this scenario, SF can provide code for different widgets which customer can include on their corporate career page. This is generally done if customer has already put in considerable expense on their career portal OR if they want to have tight control over the content & changes. Effort on the customer end is more with this.

Thanks Margaret. My client is one of the largest breweries in the world so very brand heavy. They are leaning towards internal hosting so they can have more ownership in when changes are made to the site. Very helpful info and will share. Thanks Again.

Hi Margaret, thanks for update. I am reading it now and this is very helpful. Quick question - in an hosted environment does the Career Builder or RMK in general allow a client to update their own text/change content as needed? Again, this client I'm working with is brand heavy so content such as text will need to be changed often and they do not want to constantly go to SF's to make these type of changes.
My understanding so far is that certain partners will work with the Career Builder at first and then it will be released to customers in a future release, not sure when. Once that happens, customers will be able to modify pages themselves. After 1511 release, I think our recommendation is for customers to go with the Career Builder path even though it won't give them 100% control. But from the 1511 release notes, it seems to me there will be enough control to make it palatable to most customers. Read the RX 1511 IRR notes which gives a lot of information. Hope this helps! --Margaret
