Crystal Reports Server 2013. Not able to view a report.

Hi All,

I'm new to crystal reports.

I have both Crystal Reports 2013 and Crystal Reports Server 2013 installed on a server.

Created a System DSN to MySQL server database ( which is the report source ).

Create a report on Crystal Reports 2013. It runs fine there.

Saved this in a folder in Crystal Reports Server 2013.

Corrected the database configuration in Crystal Reports Server 2013.

I ran the report and it said it is successful. (This I was able to see from the history).

However when I try to view the report it opens up Crystal Reports Viewer and  I see a window with a pop up dialog that says "Please wait while the document is being processed".

It is just stuck there.

Any idea / suggestions.

Thanks,

Kalyan.

Thanks for your reply. I deleted the report and did everything as suggested in the link.

1. Created a new report.

2. Checked no printer.

3. Remove the check mark from "Verify On First Refresh"., The check mark on "Verify Stored Procedures On First Refresh" was not checked .

4. Saved the reports on the server.

3. Then ran the report again. Again same issue ..

Can you check in different browser? FF or Chrome?

Hi Kalyan,

The issue is due to the designer and server installed on the same machine.

Remove the Crystal Reports designer application from the server where Crystal Report Server is installed and restart the server. SAP recommends to use the report designer from client machines only.( You can refer : KBA 2014953 - Installation of server and client components of BI 4.x on the same physical machine )

IT WILL WORK !!

Thanks. This helped in resolving the issue. I uninstalled Crystal Reports from the server and it started working fine.
