Reset J2ee_Admin password

Dear Experts,

I have to change my J2ee_Admin password as per the documents by Experts i can login to NWA - Identity management using SAP*.

Here in NWA we have tha option GENERATE NEWPASSWORD, it is showing PASSWORD(s) GENERATED but i don't see whats new password and we don't have any email maintained for any user not even for Administrator and J2ee_admin.

Please, let me know how can i reset a new password of my choice to j2ee_admin user.

Hello Domnic,

Click on user, then 'Modify'. Then change password and save.

Dear All,

As my data source is ABAP so changing the password in abap as usual with su01 has fixed my problem.

Activating SAP* using configtool and restarting the Application and deactivating sap* is irrelevant.

J2EE_ADMIN users are basically used on J2EE system where ABAP is the UME unless the UME was changed afterwards. If the ABAP is still the UME you should reset the password in the ABAP stack. Bear in mind that you should update the password in the J2EE secure store after changing the password.

Hope you are doing good.

What is the data source?

Login to the configtool->switch to the configuration editor

mode->configuration->cluster_data->server-> cfg> services->

Propertysheet com.sap.security.core.ume.service

Check the below values:

->ume.persistence.data_source_configuration=

If the DataSource is ABAP, please do this in the backend ABAP/client.

It is strange that you have both the administrator an dthe j2ee_admin user.
