SAP KERNEL 7.40 UC Windows Server on x64 64 Bit missing from support portal

Dear,

We are installing test server for portal, Our portal is on 7.40 version.In sap support portal we are unable to find 7.40 UC kernel and Java component, But 7.42 is available.Where we can find 7.40 downloads?

I upgraded the sql and made the system copy with 7.42 in test server, but now after upgrading with 7.42, the new server and my old 7.40 server is showing same version level. why?

Not sure what has been done, but it is clear that the kernel in use is 740...

Dear Prathish,

as explained by Anita the 7.42 kernel is downward compatible with 7.41 and 7.40 as it is also explained in the note:

2128122 - Use of 7.42 kernel instead of 7.40 or 7.41 kernel

but if for some reason you still need the 7.40 kernel you may reach it in the Archive section of SWDC at https://support.sap.com/swdc

I did find it under Archive.

The file you send me will allow to download database dependent and independent files, i am doing a fresh replica installation of 740 to new server, the file you shown me will not give any "LABEL.ASC" to do the installation. i need SAP UC Kernel 740 + java component 740, these files are not seen in the path you provided.

Hi Pratish,

I hope you would be doing NW 740 SR2 installation. 
SO you need 742 kernel. Just provide 742 kernel DVD and check if you are able to continue.

As i told before,Our portal was installed in 740 and we need a replica of the same server, i am able to do instillation on 7.42 or 7.5, but we need 740 installation files for same installation.

SAP UC kernel 740 & Java component 740.

I do not know about the Java component...

Please use the 742 kernel DVD for your system installation.

Check the Note 1969646 - Release Roadmap kernel 740 .

For new system installation you should use the 742 kernel DVD.

Hello Prathish,

Only Support Package Patches are available for the kernel you seek.

Also, if portal is on version 7.40, doesn't mean you need to install kernel 740. You can go for SAP Kernel 7.42 Windows Server on x64 64bit.
