Alert for Sender File Adapter

Hi Experts,

My requirement is to trigger a mail, whenever the file adapter is not able to pick the file.(maybe due to wrong format or empty file)

Currently, in this case i can see error in RWB->Adapter Engine->Comm. Channels.

But now i want to trigger an Alert kind of thing to notify the users.

Please Advice, how can i achieve this ???

Hello Aayush,

Configure alerts as per the below link to trigger alert mail in case if there is a any error in channel.

Thanks for your reply, i'll surely go through the link you have provided.

But, For now we are trying to achieve this by using SAP Solman.

Hi,

This is possible via BPMon of Solman.

Technical name is BOFILMON.

I currently do not have access to a Solman system but we have done this before.The monitor checks for files lying in the particular directory for a specified duration and creates an alert when the time is elapsed.

Another option is to use, "Archive Faulty Source Files" and use BPMON to create alerts whenever there is a file in the "Fault" Folder.

Hi,

It really depends on PI version. Since Aayush is mentioning RWB, I guess he is not on the latest versions and can't use Component based Message Alerting feature. Hence can't use SolMan as a  consumer of these alerts.

@Aayush, what is you PI version?
