Dear SAP experts,
During SO creation, we can have availability check running and check whether stock is available or not for the plant where SO is created. We also know that using gATP (Global ATP) functionality in APO, this availability check can be extended to multiple locations.
My question is...in our project, we most probably will not use APO, but the user still want to check the availability to multiple locations. Is it possible to do this in ECC only? If it is not standard, is there a way to do enhancement for this? Any clue on exit or enhancement spot will be very much appreciated.
Best regards,
John
You can show to the users enhanced material search functionality - they may find it sufficient for their specific requirement.
There is a very good blog on the subject in SCN - check if your version is supported as well.

You are welcome.
Before introducing such functionality in a live system, please run performance tests with realistic amounts of data and concurrent users to ensure no negative impact on the user productivity.
The reason why you cannot set an answer as correct is because this is not classified as a question- most probably you or a forum moderator set it that way. In case it was not you, then it is possible that the question was re-classified for being too general or too basic (the moderators send a notification explaining the reason, so you will know for sure).
Hi Veselina,
Thanks for your advice. I hope you dont mind if I have additional questions. I see that this enhanced material search will work during SO creation in ECC. Do you happen to know whether it will work if we create SO in CRM, or PM Service Order? I have checked the blog post in SDN, it doesnt mention anything about CRM or PM order so I assume it is not supported.
Best regards,
John
It seems there is a product catalog view functionality in CRM7, which your users might find useful. I have no CRM access currently, so unfortunately cannot check if it can be used in a way similar to material view in ERP-VA01.
You would have higher chances for getting high-quality responses on the subject in the CRM forum.
