SAP BODS -SAP ECC Some issues with Import

Former Member

Hello Gurus,

My source system is SAP ECC, successfully established a connection/configuration between SAP ECC and SAP BODS.  Able to see all the ECC tables and when I tried to import into local repository of SAP BODS, there is no error but tables are not getting import into SAP BODS local repository.

Anyone has come across similiar kind of issues?.

Regards

Suresh

Can you check with BASIS team if all the necessary functions are installed on the system which is necessary for accessing SAP ERP tables by BODS.

Since you can see the tables but not able to fetch it means your job server do not have access to the shared directory. Basically your account under which job server running should have access to the directory on the SAP server.

Arun,

It was working before and able to fetch the tables/extractors and the configuration is consistent now and before.

The shared directory that is specified in the configuration is one of the file system of the Job Server and it is shared with Data Services Designer. Not aware that the working directory has to be shared with SAP server.

Do you have access to SAP BODS Server computer? If so login with your account and try to access the files in Application Path to Shared Directory. If you cannot access these files, your DS also cannot do it. Is this a Windows AD account?

Yes, able to access the shared directory of BODS server.

Did you try to open a file in the Application Directory? Are you able to do it? If so BODS should work.

Suresh,

Did you try the below steps:

1) Right click on the SAP Applications type datastore

2) Click Open

3) Click on External metadata. If the user pmads has appropriate access then you will be able to see Tables, ODP objects, IDOCs etc. If you get error while clicking on External metadata then some changes are done by Security team for the account.

4) Ask the BASIS team to check and compare the rights of the user
