Hello Experts,
We are using Cognos 10.2 as data source for our “Order booking”.
The data is huge, hence two packages have been created one for 2015 (Up to 2 years of data is saved here) and another one for 2016 which will get refreshed every day (Only up to 2 months of data can be saved here.
The order bookings data for the year 2015 (Previous Year) and 2016 (Current Year) is :
At Order level
At Customer Level
At Sold to Account Level
For e.g. At Customer Level I have columns mentioned below:
“Fiscal Year”; “Fiscal Week”; “Fiscal Month”; “Transaction Date”; “Customer Account Number” “Customer Account Name”; “Country Name”; “Order Quantity”; “Order Amount - C$”
Our Fiscal/Financial year is October- September (For e.g. FY2016:- Oct 2015 – Sept 2016)
My main objective is to see the customer Order behavior(Anomaly/inconsistency/irregularity)
By calculating Simple average “Year over Year”; “Week over Week” and “Day wise” to see the trend of booking.
The data for 2015 is in CSV format and the data for 2016 is in excel format. Hence few columns "Datatype" are not matching and i am finding it difficult to append the data. Hence decided to use data blending option and created few visualization.
The problem is huge data i have around 700,000 rows in 2015 data which remains constant and around 20,000 rows get added to my current year 2016 data every day
Hence i have decided to show visualization only for top 10 customer and i have created a dimension only for our Top 10 customer.
I don't know how to put input controls only for my top 10 customer under compose tab. Could anyone in this forum help with regards input control only for top customers.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I am looking forward for the positive response!!!!!!
Thanks,
Ganesh
Hi Ganesh,
U can't do any filter option write now in compose tab. U can only do filter in prepare and visualise page. Hence do data filter there and use for your viz.
