NO error message on contract value exceed in ME38

Hi sap guru,

We have created value contract with item category W, only provided material group in each line item.

as per requirement, scheduling aggrement creation will be refer against contract.

value of scheculing aggrement is more than target value of contract, but system is not showing any error message of value exceed.

We have checked in ME38 also, after maintaining schedule line, system is not throwing error message of value exceed.

But same is working at ME21N, on value exceed system, will throw error message of  contract value exceeded.

Kindly provide guidance in standard, cant we use value check in scheduling agrrement against value contract.

Hi,

When the scheduling agreement is created the system does not recognize the target value until the delivery schedule is created.This is why the schedule can be created without any error.

In Purchase orders you will get an error if the total PO value is greater than the value contract.

As per your solution, error Contract value exceeded will not be reflect in ME31L creation, ME32L change and ME38 delivery schedule line creation. please confirm.
