Shelf-Life based ATP Chk w/o CDP

Hi All Experts,

We want to do Shelf Life based ATP check on our Sales Orders (against batches that'll have SLED as one of the Batch char's) & only promise/confirm availability against those batches that meet the SLED requirement on the SO.

Our products are not configured (no Class 300 concept). Can I have the gATP system check the Sales Order LOBM_VFDAT against a characteristic like LOBM_VFDAT on the batch in APO & provide a confirmation? How do industries that do not have configured products achieve this?

NB: We do not run PP/DS, only have gATP activated.

    Hi Andy,

    ATP check in APO is a two step event: 1st sales order confirmation & 2nd Delivery creation. Mostly the batch level details gets into play only at the 2nd event.

    Did you mean the same in your query?

    If yes, then ATP check against sales orders with SLED batches will have no role to play at 1st event, only during the 2nd event you would need only those batches to be generated & picked which fall within the SLED dates.

    We have SLED activated & the SLED dates gets in the batches in ECC as follows.

    Can you rephrase & elaborate your question again pls now.

    Hi Sooraj,

    The requirement is infact to find the batches with matching SLED characteristic during the time of the Sales Order ATP check stage. We did some extensive research & have found that this feature is not support in SAP w/o the use of CDP/configuration process.  Note 2108061 explains the details on how to achieve this w/o CDP, but it is complicated.

    We are exploring a CIF enhancement option. Let me know if you've any other clues to this.
