Sap pm module testing methods checked in ides or quality server

Hello sap pm experts

     please any one explain about ides and (production,Development,Quality) server and then all checking and upload aspects conduct in IDES , give me a brief explanation.

Hi Karthi,

IDES is a testing client, pre-configured configuration for Controlling area 1000, plant 1000. If you have IDES client, then you can use below link for testing.

We have a methodology where we use different clients for different purpose. This depends on client perspective.

Development Server - This is a configuration / ABAP code creation system. Transports are created from this server and it will be released. Upon successful testing, these changes are moved via transport to quality server.

Quality Server - All kinds of testing will be done here. You cannot do configuration or technical changes here, since this will be a closed client, if the testing fails, code changes or configuration needs to be done in dev server and again moved to Quality. Once the changes are successful, the changes are moved to Production.

Production Server - This is the live system, which client (End Users) will be using. All cost are posted in this server. Normally IT consultant will not have access to create / change access, only display access. Audit will be conducted on this server, as a Consultant we are required to follow the Audit.
