SAP QM - Query in UD

Dear QM Gurus,

I have done a GR for 10.

While doing UD, I manualy posted 8 pc to unrestricted and put 2 in blocked stock.

What is the process to follow when I decide to move the Blocked stock to either Urestrcted use or Qhold.

Hi Mudassar,

You can use Tcode MB1B with mvt. type 349, this would create an Inspection lot (lot origin 08)

Note: Insp. Type 08 should be activated in Material Master.

Process the Insp. lot 08 and do RR and UD (here you may decide stock posting.

OR

Tcode MB1B with mvt. Type 343, this would not create any Insp. lot and stock will be posted to Unrestricted.

Sarfraz,

Movement type 343 is working.

But Im getting below error when using 349 (since I might have to create an Insp lot again)

Change the inspection stock of material 20144641 in QM only

Message no. QA495

Diagnosis

You want to make a stock posting to/from the inspection stock. This is not allowed for material 20144641 because the quality inspection control has been activated by QM.

The following cases can occur:

• The inspection stock should be increased, although an inspection is not foreseen for the current goods movement

• The inspection stock should be released, although  you can only do this using the QM transactions.

  System Response 

You cannot carry out the stock posting.

Procedure

Check both the QM inspection setup data and the movement type for material 20144641 in the quality management view of the material master.

Exception:

• If you post a return delivery to a vendor with reference to a purchase order, or cancel a goods receipt, the stock indicator from the order is proposed.
  Check and modify this proposal as required.
  The stock may have been transferred already and is therefore no longer in inspection stock.

Ans : First of all it can be done with QM or without QM.

Without Qm :

  Tr code MB1B  and movement type - 343   for  Transfer posting blocked stock to unrestricted-use stock   .

Tr code MB1B  and movement type -349   Transfer posting blocked stock to quality inspection stock   349

With QM ;

1) Activate Inspection type 08 ( 08 - Stock transfer inspection) in material master

2) Create a inspection plan with tr code QP01 ( usage -5 , status - 4 , and put the planner group )

3) in the material master QM tab , inspection set up tab , select the tick box as With task list.

4) When ever you will use the movement type 343 and 349 with Tr code MB1B , a inspection lot will be generated.

5) complete the Result recording and UD ( QA11) .
