SPRO configuration for Approve Service Entry sheet app

Hello,

We have configured Approve Service entry sheets app for lower backend release.

For other Approval Apps (PO, PR etc.) we had to configure the workflow Task Id in SPRO.

Where do we configure the Task Id of the Approve Service Entry sheet workflow in SPRO?

Also is there any other SPRO configuration we need to do to make the app up and running and fetch data.

Regards

Sundeep

Hi Sundeep,

Approve Service entry sheet doesn't uses Workflow engine. The app works only on release strategy. Check your release strategy to see where you are missing the configuration. You cant compare your workflow here.

I believe you are using custom workflow here or you have customized 20000383 as there is no release procedure involved in this workflow template. If you want a workflow based app, you can go ahead with My Inbox and make your entries on Scenario definition.

Hello Tejas / Sarabjeet,

The configuration details I have mentioned were in the document :

https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CDAQFjADahUKEw...

However I agree with Tejas, there is no such configuration required and it depends on the Release Strategy. Now I am getting items in my SES app but I need to filter them so that only the ones coming through workflow are shown in the fiori app by using a BADI.

The problem I am facing is the Reject button on the app is disabled even though my SES has not been released. Can you please help me why the Reject button in the SES app is disabled? Is there something I am missing. Approve button is working fine.

Thanks

Sundeep

Hi Sundeep;

But these configuration links which you gave are not present in the Fiori app library or on help.sap.com in the app implementation documentation. So i guess we should always refer to the App implementation documentation for any mandatory configuration.

Regarding the Reject button, I guess it will be better if you could raise a separate discussion thread for the same. as It will be helpful in future also for someone else.

Hello Sundeep;

As there is no SPRO configuration mentioned in the application documentation for this particular App, I think nothing is required to be maintained for this.

However the backend logic of the process should be working before we expect the app to work.

So just make sure that you are getting the required approval tasks in the SAP Inbox of the desired user and then it should be replicating in the fiori application also.

Hi Sarbjeet,

The fiori app is not working out of the box. There has to be some SPRO configuration.

In the documentation below is mentioned:

"You have to perform changes in the Baseline customizing:

The existing release procedure for service in the Baseline customizing has to be modified:

1. Go to the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide (transaction SPRO): Materials Management → External Services Management → Define Release Procedure for Services Entry Sheet → Select Release Strategies → Change Release Strategy Y1:

2. Choose Classification and enter the order type NB.

3. Under Purchasing group, the group YQ4 is configured for this release procedure in the SAP Best Practices Baseline Customizing. Therefore, in the corresponding purchase order for services (with item category D), the purchase groups YQ4 has to be used when the PO is created."

However Release Strategy Y1 is not configured. If someone can explain the above piece in detail it would be helpful.

The user is getting the tasks in SBWP but they are not appearing in Fiori

Thanks

Hi Sundeep;

I was referring to the link

App Implementation: Approve Service Entry Sheets - SAP Fiori Apps - SAP Library

Could you please share the link where SPRO configuration is mentioned.
