New agent doesn't shows in the telefoonbook.

Hello

I add new agents. Normally everthing goes ok and I can see them in the telefoonbook.

But now when I add a new agent I don't see them anymore.

The Directory Synchronization is checked.

We migrated from Atos to Wipro.

Can there be te problem?

Regards,

Salim

If I do the step you gave me it works.

So I can add them by hand in the telefoonbook.

We will look why this doesn't work automaticly

Hi Salim,

I am glad that worked.

What is your SC -> Batch Job Server Setting -> Directory Rebuilding set to?

You could try to enter a new user and then run a new one time  Directory Rebuilding job about 3 minutes from the time of creation.

I don't think there is any problem there. I didn't change anything in SAP BCM System Configurator. I think the problem is somwhere on the server.

This is what I have with my directory rebuilding settings.

Hi Salim,

Thanks for the screenshot. In my opinion, you are not given the system enough time to rebuild the directory.

Currently you are telling BJS to rebuild the DR every 10 seconds - which is very ambitious and could cause overlaps.

Try changing this to let's say every hour and check then. You can then fine tune to get the right threshold.

Sorry. Still doesn't work. I will wait till the one who deploy this here has time to look at this.

Thanks

Where can I find logging files?

Is that in SAP BCM System Configurator?

Hi Salim,

The BJS and Directory logs can usually be found at: \SAP\ContactCenter\Logs\VU_Administrator. If this was installed under the Administrator VU template.

The BJS logs should be something like:

BatchJobSrv_SERVERNAME_COMPANY_VU_Administrator_20151111.log

You can check for keywords: DirSync: and should see something like ->

TRC> DirSync: Job[DirSync] is due in 0d 0h 1m 19secs

The Directory Server logs should also be in the same directory and the name should be something like:

DirectoryServer_SERVERNAME_COMPANY_VU_Administrator_20151111.log.

I would like you to try the following steps though, if you don't mind .

  1. From CDT (you should have enough rights to create directory entries though), add a sample.
  2. Select Subdirectory from the pop-up.

  3. Enter a name for this subdirectory:
  4. Now, do the same as before an add a person:
  5. Enter the details and save:
  6. Wait for a bit and then check the entry:
  7. if there is no update after some time, you may want to check the entries directly from the database; although this should be the last alternative - not a good idea to access the database directly unless exceptionally required .

Copy the DirectoryEntryGuid from the first query and paste it in the second query below:

I hope this helps.

Can I see where the directory synchronize too? Maybe it is synchronizing to an old server.

I have checked the execution results. Looks good. I don't think the problem is in BCM.

I didn't change anything in BCM. Do you know if there can be a problem by the server?

The job you recommended was disabled bud we enabled it.

With the platformchange they didn't touch BCM. Only change from server.

Is it possible to hire sombody to come and answer our questions about the contact center?

We do not have a real technical support for SAP contact center here.

Next to this we still have a few questions.

Hi Salim,

That is interesting. I would follow Lasse's comments and specially check the MSDTC pre-req. You can see what I mean by checking KBA I wrote on the topic: KBA 1804369. Simply check the resolution.

Hello Salim

Please also check the batch job server logs and the related system jobs, see Configuring Batch Job Server (BJS) Settings

Did you check the execution results and times for both of the directory jobs?

Also raise the BJS log levels (see Logging Configuration Wizard) and check how the directory jobs actually perform.

If none of the directory stuff ever worked after platform changes, you should also make sure the MSDTC pre-requisites are correctly configured and fully functional (see Installation Guide).

Hi Salim,

Let's go a step back and start by describing the exact steps you are performing. Provide screenshots if possible to get the full story .
- Are you manually adding these users in SC? or it this through an import?
- Can you set the SC loglevel to debug and check this? Do the same for when you try to delete the users.

And I also cannot delete users. Maybe this 2 has connection.

Problem is not solved. Still cannot see it in the telefoonbook. And if I ad a new agent also.

Do you maybe know where the problem can be?

Hi Salim,

From your SQL Server Management Studio, connect to your installation database instance. Under SQL Server Agent, expand Jobs and there you should see the *_Directory: Full-text catalog update job.

Best regards,

Lloyd
