MII 15 IDOCListener config

Former Member

Hi all,

I'm trying to configure IDOC listener (to be used on MII 15) between SAP ERP HANA Based and Netweaver 7.4 on our AS.

1-

SM59 connection test sucessfully done, but on netweaver side log I traced error

[JRA] Creation of ManagedConnectionFactory default repository failed

2-

Moreover, when I try to update MII IDOC listener on MII, on netweaver side log I traced error

Unable to update configuration.

JRA adapter XMIIIDOC04 must be configured in NW before it can be used.

Failed to create ManagedConnection with properties

The netweaver syste behaves like Listener isn't configured till the end, even if SM59 connection is ok.

Any idea?

Tnx

Hi Cristiano,

Please check this guide, if you made every step correctly:

Hi,

at the end problem was that hostname (even if reachable from AS) wasn't recognized within SAP Gateway.

I knew already this document, but following it 100%, it is forcing SAP host names, in SM59 and NW, being exactly the same.

Hi Cristiano,

The configuration process takes the back end name (SM59) and registers it in NW.  I do not understand why this would be a problem.  You have lots of flexibility in the naming process in the backend.

Hi Michael,

simply hostname in SM59 was different from the one configured in NW.

Both were:

identifing the same server

reachable on the host where they have been configured.

The problem was that hostname used in NW was unknown, for some reason, ERP side.

Once again I confirm that if we had followed step by step your document, everything would have been fine.

tnx

Hi Cristian,

Sounds like someone tried to manually register a hostname in NW.  It is unfortunately a common mistake and rarely done by newbies.  It is those who are fairly knowledgeable who tend to get into trouble by going outside the guide.
