Hi BW Experts,
Scenario: I am using Sap BW 7.4. Some of the 0EMPLOYEES (Employee numbers) has been manually deleted by HR in their system instead of mentioning end dates. This means that deleted employee ID's does not exist in the HR source system anymore but in the BW system it still exist because of the reason that BW reads only change records in delta but it does not consider deleted records. HR do not wish to see the personnel numbers in the BI reports, which they have deleted manually. Moreover master data in BI is showing only personal numbers but it does not hold any information such as master data text. The info object is 0EMPLOYEE and it does not use any transactional data, thus I do not think that we need to delete SID's.
I select info object option to maintain master data then it takes me to another screen where master data is maintained. I select specific personal number and try to delete it but i get message "Ït will take few minutes to perform this activity" (Screenshot attached).
Please let me know if any body has gone through same issue.
Kind Regards,
Nitin
Hi Nitin,
When you navigate to the maintain master screen, you get an option (selection)
you can select your required personal number and then go with the option delete keys.
And then save. The data will get deleted.

Hi Nitin
I guess you are trying to enter add line and then entering the personal number which is not required in this. Add line to used to add a new number to be maintained which is why the message says that number already exists.
Instead, please select the number and click on delete values which will delete the master data values.
Try this and let us know if it doesn't work. we will analyse and try something else.

Karthik
