Hi,
In material master, QM view is activated but inspection type is not selected and in purchase order the stock type is 'Unrestricted'. When GRN is made user has chosen stock type as 'Quality stock' in MIGO from 'Where' tab and stock is posted in quality. As inspection type is not selected in material master, lot not generated.
My question: Is their is any validation possible in standard when inspection type is not selected in material master and if user selected 'Quality stock' in MIGO? In above case, if there is no inspection lot then how the stock can be moved to unrestricted? As of now i have asked user to cancel the material document and redo GRN once again correctly.
If someone had faced this issue earlier then kindly throw some light on this.

Hi Uma,
We face such issue sometimes when new material arrives and posted without Insp. Type 01-QM view in Material Master (lack of coordination ).
We do the posting from QI to Unrestricted using MB1B with 321 movement type.
Hope this will help.
Regards
S Ahmed

Dear Sarfaraz,
Thanks for your reply. If user does not want any quality parameters to capture in system then it can be done without selecting inspection type. In standard is there is anyway can we validate MIGO stock type to inspection type in material master? Or is there is any user exit available to do this validation?

Hello Uma Shankar,
In SAP you can use this User-Exit "QAAT0001" if I understand your question.
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/PLM/QAAT0001+Do
So you can put some logic and you can control the inspection lot creation using the include ZXQAAU01 from EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002 by setting E_NO_INSPECTION to X.
