Hi,

it seems issue with the BEx query variable.check if webi report is working in other env?

might be you can check after assigning some default values in the BEx query variable.

Hi Amit. The Webi works fine on development. The Bex query has the same default values in development and production. Another suggestion? Thank you very much for your answer.

As I said, try assigning a default value to your Bex variable inside Bex Query Designer. And then, try to open the query in BO WebI.

This usually happens because BO cannot initialize Bex queries with variable defined without default values.

Juan,

Try to assign some default value from Bex query designer and try. This is exception caused while webi unable to read the empty variable from bex. If this still persists, try to reboot SIA, tom cat servers at the end of the day and see if it resolves. I had these issues and have to try multiple ways to fix.

Hi Juan ,

I guess there is no data in the Info Provider for the default values set for the variables .

the default value which is set to variable may not be available in the Prod . Ex : In Dev , for a Year variable , 2010 is set as default . But in Prd there may not be data for 2010 .

Remove all the default values set for variables and try .

Hi. I don't believe. The Bex works fine on RSRT and Analysis for Excel in development and production. The query has data. Another suggestion? Thanks for your answer

Would you try assigning default values to your Bex query variable in Bex Query Designer? After that, check if your query works in WebI.

Have a nice one.

Hi Zahid. I put some default values to my mandatory variables and the results was the same. I assign the values on default values and gives the same error. Thanks for your answer.

When I checked the error you are getting, it giving an error when the query is getting initialized with variables. For somehow, it's not getting the right variable values.

If I were you, I would have opened a message to SAP support to find out what is really causing this error.
