approving requisition on behalf of the manager

Hi All,

       I have a requisition with 4 level approvers to get released. The requisition is now pending approval with the 2nd approver and he was not able to find it in his inbox for approving. They have requested me to approve on behalf of him in the backend. Can you please let me know how we can approve the requisition in the backend on behalf of the manager(actual approver)? Anyone please helpme on this.

You can execute the transaction hrasr_test_process from the backend and approve the requisition process.

Hi Mohit,

           Thanks for your reply. But ME53N is for purchase requisition, right? I don't think it is for e-rec requisition. Please see below and clarify.

Hi Sathish,

You can use the transaction Me53n to find out the current status of the requisition(whose inbox it is in, whether it has been approved or not).  It probably is stuck in some approver or their substitute's inbox.

Now go to transaction SWI5, click on Type US and put the user id of the user in whose inbox the requisition currently is in. Make sure the analysis type is Work Items to be completed

Execute it now and you will find the list of PRs in user's inbox. check the correct requisition and then press F5 on that screen to forward the requisition to the next approver who will now be able to approve the requisition.
