Yonten,

Christian is talking about Archivelink

and you need content server for DMS to use cv01n transaction

both are different approaches for storing documents

if you are already using cv01n then Christians solution will not work for you

Dear Axle Sir,

We are already using the content server for DMS to use cv01n transaction. Now how to configure that setting.

Kindly  help on this.

There are lots of documentation available on DMS and Content server, they should be easy to locate and configure based on your requirement

We currently have a DMS implementation project going. That is why I can’t offer a complete guide. But I can tell you the procedure for the storing of documents from SAP in DMS, how we planned it.

We want to use the SAP ArchiveLink interface. The interface establishes the connection between SAP and DMS. As trigger we use the message control (NACE) in SAP.

There can be defined via the output types of the storage mode. ("1 Only Print", "2 Just drop" or "3 Print and drop". This has the advantage that we can use the existing message control and this extended to the mode "drop". We define the document type, the business object and the archive system (DMS) via the SAP ArchiveLink interface.

After the initial setting of document type and business object we are able to customize more output types for storing in DMS. In the SAP message control (NACE) you also get an error protocol, if a document can’t be stored.

I hope I could you help a little.

I will update this post, when we implement the function successfully in our test system.

It will take time until the end of the year.
