Fiori Launch Pad - Can it work for Multiple Clients

I know there are some dependency of FIori Apps - Configure and Fiori Launch Pad on SAP client ? But not sure with such details.

Assume Fiori Launch Pad is working in source client w/o issues . Does the configuration get copied from source client to target client completely ?. What are the areas to check and fix so that Fiori App work successfully in Source and Target Client within the same environment ?

    Hi Santosh;

When you configure Launchpad and applications in one client. You will be creating some Customizing transport requests. You need to copy these TRs into the target client using SCC1.

After that you can run your launchpad and applications on the target client also.

    https: //<host>.<domain>:<port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/shells/abap/Fiorilaunchpad.html?sap-client=<client>&sap-language=EN

in the url you need to mention the client.

On higher level following things will be in customizing TRs.

    LPD_CUST Settings if any

IMG Activity  Assign SAP System Aliases to OData Service

    Manage SAP System Aliases

    Theme designer related objects

    • Thanks Sarbjeet,

As I copied target using SAP ALL from source client, by changing the client number to target client in Launch Pad URL, Am able to log on in system but receiving issue " Failure - Unable to load groups"

in target client whereas if Source client number is mentioned in link and it is browsed, it works without issues.

What could be possible issue on "Failure - Unable to load groups" ?

    Hi Santosh,

Is your other client connected to backend system ? Check RFC connection/Trusted rfc between both. Also share inspect element errors.

    • This clearly says, it has RFC error :

RFC Error: Name or password is incorrect

Issue might be with the role you created. Check if user has authorization in other client.

      s_service and other roles.

Compare roles assigned on first client and the new one. Check su53 for errors and add auth objects.
