Hi AB,

As experts said i am adding something below too..

If you look at the below screen shot which i have shared,  see the column FC and Check.. which clearly indicates to the system what kind of action it is.. Just press F1 you will easily come to know.

Here for hiring in my system FC is 1 which tells the system it is the First hiring..so system will consider this action as hiring and generate the Personnel number

Then for Rehiring FC is 0 which tells the system is other actions but MSN21 we have given which says it is for re-entry..

For termination FC is 0 Emplyment status should be 0 and MSN20 is used which tells for withdrawl

Hope you understand from this..

this is the way it works

Thanks

Hi,

It's depend upon the Function Character in the table V_T529A. Here we are maintaining 1 as a initial hiring and for other action type we are choosing 0. So on this 1 is playing a vital role to identify that Hiring Action is initial action on which personal no would be asked for creation in the system.

In some of the organization there have another action is used like ReHire which is same like Hire and we are using 1 as FC for this Action type.

Hope so it's clear to you now.

Hi,

As per my knowledge, based on FUNCTION CHARACTER field in table "T529A" system will generate the PERNR during HIRING action only.

If it is hiring action we have to maintain FUNCTION CHARACTER as a "1" then system will understand this command and generates the PERNR while performing hiring action.

If it is other actions other than HIRING, we have to maintain FUNCTION CHARACTER as "0".

Hope this will help you.
