For Linux on ARM platform - there is presently no option / alternative for CT-Lib/ODBC. The jConnect product will work with JVMs on the platform. If you have a business need for CT-Lib/ODBC on this platform, a feature reuest with support should be filed. Specify ARM architecutre and 32/64 bit needs.

The ARMv8 architecture with 64bit support is indeed very interesting.....

The FreeTDS project may come into play here. It isn't supported by SAP but it does work quite well.  I'm not sure what the status on Linux ARM is though with it.

My guess is the JDBC drivers would come into play here (jConnect) but I suspect you mean OpenClient CT-Library or ODBC.

A good question and I hope SAP takes the ARM platform seriously.

Yes I was meaning the Open Client CT-Library, I thought using JDBC but JDBC is not the best solution i was thinking about, well I hope SAP releases the libraries for ARM one day soon.

Hi,

I guess I am not sure what you are asking for.

We do have c++, java and .net with SQL Anywhere. You can use this to connect to ASE and IQ, you can use this will all mobile devices and it does support the mobile devices that use ARM architecture.

If you are talking about operating systems with RISC, we dropped support of HP PA with SDK 15.5. I think the migration path was to HP IA, I can ask product management on that one. I don't remember what the end of life document said for that platform.

Thanks,

If you wish to connect SQL Anywhere to ASE, you must configure it as a Remote Server, so first of all you need to create an ODBC, wich needs the Open Client libraries
