Control of the finished product release based on the component

Hello Gurus,

How to control use of one material/component in multiple codes, e.g. material /component is released for one code, but what will stop usage in other codes for which it has not been released? BOM level restrictions? How?

Hello,

You will get this BAdi  in SE18 BAdi name BOM_UPDATE.

Please check with your technical person how to implement the BAdi.

My question regards to how to control at the time of release the product in Usage decison for sale.

I want continue the production but want to control the release of the product if the finished ggod has the component for some product and release for some product.

Hello,

There is no standard way to control it you may try BAdi BOM_UPDATE method CHANGE_AT_SAVE with your own custom logic.

hi,

yes you can do it both ways,

1. you can give bom status, in - OS24

2. you can change material status which you do not want to use - oms4
