Hi Experts,

Can I have an access to historical data in C4C reports?

I mean can I check what was the status of an activity on a particular date in past?

I need to design a report where I can see which all activities were open on a particular date in past.

At present, datasources in the system provides current data.

So how can I achieve it?

Waiting for your valuable responses.

Thanks in Advance,

Gayatri

Hi Gayatri,

as of today, you can not access historic data other than using the changes tab on the business object. It is not exposed as data source or service right now.

With the feature set as of today a report like this can not be designed.

Alternatively, you could do some custom development which runs a job (MDRO) every day and creating and storing a list with open activities. This list could be made available via report.

Best Regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

I was assuming we have 'Ticket History' available as a data source, yet to use it though.

Haven't seen one for 'Activities'.

Cheers,

Hello Stefan, is this still the case?

I see Ticket History, but what i cant seem to do is pull the Details of the changes (apart from Status changes).

Is there any way to get the Details of all changes i.e. field changes

kind regards

Andrew

Any update on this question that was asked over 4 years ago? I see in the depricated api (c4codata) there is ServiceRequestHistoryVersion, but there doesn't seem to be any History data source available in the current api (c4codataapi).

We need to be able to analyze the Ticket Status changes, the time the changes were made, and who made them.

We also need to understand when Ticket Item status went into a Released status.

The Ticket is the only object that has historical/point in time reporting available. If you want this type of reporting (this is a typical data warehouse/analytics usecase) you will need to periodically export the C4C data into a data warehouse solution such as BW or capture snapshots/copies of the object and store these snapshots/copies in a custom object via SDK and then create reports on top of the custom object.
