Upload database and fix errors using RSP

I am using SAP Business One 8.82 PL:10. I am upgrading to SAP 9.4. There are some problems in database and I want to submit that database to SAP for fixing errors. I am using RSP but I can not upload the database. How to I upload the database ?

[fun] I wonder where you got a SAP Business One 9.4 Version from ;-)

Just in addition to Johan, you might want to raise a Support incident, as explained in SAP Note 722980 - Guidelines for creating customer incidents in SAP Business One area

Hi,

If you SAP support has asked you to upload your database, they should have also given you detailed instructions on how to do it.

You cannot just upload the database and hope that SAP support will take a look at it.

Also the RSP has pre-upgrade check tasks, that you should try to execute first.

Should I follow these steps -

1.Execute pre-upgrade check.

2.Fix the errors received in pre-check

3.Raise a support incident

4.Submit the database

Can I get help from channel partner for these task ? Are these tasks covered in AMC or I have to pay additional money for this task ?

Hi,

Steps 1 - 3 are correct. Step 4, uploading the database, usually only needs to happen in extreme cases, where SAP Support cannot fix the issue through the RSP or remote support (for example Teamviewer). In these cases SAP support will let you know how to upload the database.

Yes you can get help from your partner. No need to additional money and its covered under AMC.

I am upgrading to SAP 9.2 PL:04 i.e.920.140.04. In the pre-check, I have received errors. I executed this SAP note,

1343052 - Upgrade / Setup Wizard Precheck: Database
Unrestricted Growth Check

But the size of database did not reduce. I am receiving the same error.

In that case, you can check with SAP partner. Partner will check with SAP for the solution.

Does product AMC covers fixing database issues ?

If you contract with both SAP and partner, it covers product issue. If only contract with your Partner, then it does not covers product issue.
