Hi Experts,

what is the business function of field "Processing days" in Object Information key.

here Processing days is 5.

1) Is this mean 1 completed notification which has minimum 5 days as Processing days?

2) Is this 5 days of Processing applicable only for notification or Is it also applicable for Completed Order?

Thank you

Hi,

This is related to Number of processing days from creating each notification until its completion.

This is only applicable for Notifications.

Hi Vivek,

I under stood  what is Processing days for a notification.

My query is regarding the significance of it in object Information key.

Eg:

Is it in OIK Completed notification which has minimum 5 days as processing days only will be displayed?

or Is it any thing else?

Thank you.

Hi Renjith,

The object information key once you activates shows all the Notifications which are updating the LIS structure properly.

You can check the LIS updating rules for all the notification type.

Hi Vivek,

When ever I activates the OIK button it will show all the Notifications created for the technical object. But what is the effect of Processing Days of notification in it?

Thank you

Hi Renjith,

No effect in your notification, the object information contains only history data from the notifications and orders carried out.

Vivek

Hello Renjith,

In fact this is the thing people rarely notice / show interest including me. My understanding is as under:.

  • Below we are talking with respect to one Equipment. And my understanding (not very well studied)
  • Processing days obviously is the days the Notifications took. It is the time period between Required start ,Required End (M3) or Malfunction Start and Malfunction End (M3).
  • If in some Notifications the End dates are left blank or forgotten, the Processing days will be going on adding.
  • If might remove the overlaps in the Duration found if any in any Notifications.
  • Processing days is a field of S061 info structure and is a part of report MCI3.
  • You can run that report for a period and drilldown to Equipment levels and have the value of this field for an Equipment and then compare it with the Notification durations in IW28.

Good luck
