SAP Netweaver 7.00 EHP1 upgrade

Hi all,

I'm new at this matter and I have looked into google to search about this matter but I couldn't find a promising answer, so I want to ask if I wan to upgrade SAP netweaver 7.00 EHP 1 to EHP3, is there any dependency to my ECC server? If there any software component that I should upgrade too in order to compromise my Netwaever system? I'm using ECC 6 which connect to my Netweaver 7.00 EHP. Please advise..

Yes there is a dependency. If your AS ABAP system hosts any of the Business Suite components, such as SAP_APPL, you will have to upgrade using the ERP upgrade path, not the NetWeaver upgrade one. See the Platform Availability Matrix (PAM) for available upgrade options. Select your source release version and then see the possible upgrade options. You have to use MOPZ in Solution Manager to create the stack XML for the upgrade and SUM to apply the stack XML.
