PlR on Plant Level reduction

Hi Gurus,

I have one question regarding reduction of PlR.

Scenario: Material is setup in two plants Plant 1000 and Plant 2000

Material: Pump 1

Plant 1000: Procurement Type F

Special Procurement Key: Z1 (Procure it from Plant 2000)

Planned Independent Requirements created for Plant 1000 for any 6 month period. ( Jan 15 - June 15)

In month of Jan 2015 MRP runs on Plant 1000 and generates Purchase reqs for Plant 2000. MRP runs on Plant 2000 and generates planned orders. Planned orders are firmed and converted to production orders and processed in external system for further processing.,

Question: Planned Independent requirements still show are same quantities in Plant 1000. Is there a way that once Planned order for PIR are created that these PIR disappear?

    Hello

We cannot consume PIR in Plant 1000, when planned order is created in Plant 2000.

We have two work around option here.

    1. 1. When you run MRP plant 1000, it generates Purchase reqs which we can make it to consume PIR by maintaining below settings.

In material master MRP 3 view maintain Mixed MRP indicator as 1 in & In PIR Item details maintain consumption indicator as 3 which will consume PIR consumed when STO created on 1000 Plant.

    1. 2. You can use the Badi  MD_PIR_FLEX_CONS

    Hello,

Define consumption Indicator to 3 in Supply Plant where you want to STO  to reduce PIR.

In OMP6 for your requirement class you can set default consumption indicator.

    Refer OSS note

772856 - FAQ: Consumption of planned independent requirements

    Question 5

For the consumption of a planned independent requirement with final assembly, the 'Mixed MRP' indicator must be set to '1' in the material master. The consumption indicator of the planned independent requirement must be set to '3' (see the 'Item' tab page in Transaction MD63). When you create a planned independent requirement, the system uses the default value from Customizing

Transaction OMP6. A consumption with planned independent requirements of a planning material is not possible.

Refer KBA 1819952 - Stock transfer: Control the reduction of Planned Independent Requirements
