Allocation structure having both 'By cost element' and 'settlement cost element'

Hello All,

In our allocation structure, we have both 'By cost element' and 'settlement cost element' configured as shown in below picture.

In one of the orders, system has picked CTR as the receiver category in the settlement rule because default object type is CTR. However, during settlement the cost are not settling to the cost element 826004193. It is settling to the sender cost element i.e. it is using 'By cost element'. Can someone explain why it is not using CE 826004193?

Hello

please go to the master data of order, then click "settlement rule"=>menu=>go to=>settlement parameters, please check what is the allocation structure. Is it FL?

Hello Vineet,

So it seems the costs which are to be allocated are not using the current allocation structure. Or else it must be the cost element like your attachment.

My advise would be you can simply check it by KO88 with menu: extra -> activate flow trace, then you will be get some information about which settlement profile, settlement parameters are used etc.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,

Jason

Hello Vineet,

Maybe you should check if the order in question has a settlement profile that is indeed using the Allocation structure FL. Default settings can be changed for individual orders, so it can end up with a different Allocation structure.

Also check what is the Assignment that is applicable, you are displaying just one of them.

If the case is isolated to the single order it is likely that its settlement settings were different.

Paulo
