Hi Experts,
I have assigned Object Information key to Order types and Notification type with out assigning to technical object. Still I got Object Information popup details when the threshold vale reached.
Could you please explain me why we assign "Object Information Key" to Equipment and Functional Locations.
What is the benefit on that assignment.
Thank you.
This gives you the statistics of Maintenance activities such as Breakdown Notifications Orders etc, when you attempt to create a Notification/Order on a particular technical object (Equipment/FLocn). i.e., Suppose you are creating a Notification > As soon as you enter the Equipment and press Enter a pop-up appears infront of you giving the above statistics. Also drill-downs are possible from these figures in the pop-up. If this information window is not useful to you then you can de-assign this from spro settings, which you already knew.
See these useful links:

Hi Jogeswara Rao, Maria,
Thank you for the comment. I think you are clear with my doubt.
In SPRO we have option to assign the Object information key to
1)Functional location Category
2)Equipment Category
3)Maintenance Order Types
4)Maintenance Notification Types
Case 1.
I have assigned Object Information key to both Order types and Notification types only.
Then when I create some orders/Notifications for equipment/Functional Location, I got the automatic popup as the threshold value reached.
Case 2.
I have assigned Object Information key to both Equipment category and Functional Location Category only.
Then when I create some orders/Notifications for the equipment/Functional Location,I didn't get any automatic popup even after the threshold value reached.
My doubt are:
what is the significance of assigning Object Information Key to Equipment category and Functional Location Category?
Did I missed any settings?
Hello Renjit,
It is Yes. Because usually the same OIK we assign to all these objects. Also the other benefit of OIK as I touched upon earlier is the short-cuts to go to the respective detailed reports by using the push buttons provided such as:
You have more in horizontal (for Scheduling etc)

An object information key can be assigned to the following object types:
Via the parameterization of the object information key, you determine the
data of a technical object (equipment, functional location, structure) that is
shown in a special information window.
The object information also contains history data from the PM Information
System and data from the notifications and orders executed.
You can use the parameterization of the object information to define whether
the notification and order information should be displayed:
Furthermore, you can determine whether the object information should be
displayed
To activate the display depending on notification and order data, you can
define threshold values which are used to select historical data through the PM
Information System. When one of the threshold values is reached, the object
information is displayed and is indicated with this symbol in the object information mask.
