Server Intelligence Agent (SIA) is not created during the install

Hi All,

We installed SAP BO BI-- 4.1 SP6 on windows server 2012.

after installation in CCM  (Central  Configuration Manager) Server intelligence Agent (SIA) node is not created.

we are unable to login to CCM.

what to do now please suggest me.

Hi Shaik,

The issue due to the following reasons :

• At the Time of installation if you have given simple password which is not a combination Upper case, lower case, Numbers then SIA will not be created. You can check the KBA  2184827 - Server Intelligence Agent (SIA) is not created after installing BI 4.1 Service Pack 6 Full...which was created by me since many customers were facing the issue. So its a known issue specially with the Windows 2012 OS.
• The important question is Which database server you have i.e. if you are using Custom database then if there would be any problem in rights, connectivity or any network issue the same behavior is seen.
  • Below is the best practice I follow to resolve this issue efficiently :
    • Clean the system or revert back it scratch.
    • There are 2 Important KBA which you need to follow :

      • Use Best practice KBA to install the update using KBA: 1952120 - SAP BusinessObjects (XI 3.1 and BI 4.0) Installation pre-requisites

      • Install MFC update to prevent Side by Side error as per the KBA 1902990 - The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect (SideBySide Error Master) and installed the MFC update. (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT and you have to install MFC 2005 security update even you are using Windows 2012)
    • Install the product using Default Database i.e. do the full install of BI 4.1 SP6. This will definitely install the product correctly.
    • Once the installation is done Repoint the SIA to the Custom database that you wanted and you would have BI 4.1 SP6 running with your custom database.

Hi,

This is a known issue with BI 4.1 SP6.

1. Refer the following  KBA to uninstall BI 4.1 SP6.

KBA 1691555 - How to completely remove / uninstall SAP BO BI 4.0 from the system? 

2. Install BI 4.1 SP06 full build by following this link of prerequisites. Use Enterprise  Administrator password as "Password1".Chnage the password after installation .

Instead of removing and reinstalling its possible to create a new node in CCM. Since the Admin password from install process was not accepted it is simply empty.

UPDATE: Unfortunately there is too much missing from installation to fix it manually. Therefore removal and new installation with appropriate Admin password as proposed by Rukaiya is best option.
