Disable automatic report refresh scheduled reports

Hi,

I am backing up production server to a new environment (DR) and my concern is once we have the weekly backups scheduled (using the lcm backups and lcm command line back ups), I do not want the scheduled jobs to run twice (in production and DR) and duplicate email reports to users. Is there a way I can disable report refresh globally of all the reports, or any other better way to do that.

There is an option in the CMC to disable refresh for all documents in the Application-->WebIntelligence section in CMC, I think that will not solve my purpose.

I have BO 4.1 SP5 installed on our system.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Thank you

V

    Hi,

What about if you will stop the Adaptive Job Server in DR system so that no recurring job will run.

I recently had this same issue. What I did was go into Instance Manager in the CMC. You can find all recurring instances, select them all, and Pause.

Later, if you ever wanted to start them up again, you can search out all Paused instances and Unpause them.

Hi Amit and Ken, thank you for your comments.

I thought of disabling the ADS, but this will stop any promotion jobs. I have to get the jobs scheduled weekly so any new changes get replicated from production.

Also, I have a nightly reboot of the server scheduled, so the services come back up fresh daily, if I pause all the instances, will not the nightly reboot unpause them and they will be scheduled back?

      Hi Ken,

You are right here, I just tested it out.

What concerns me here is, due to weekly promotions scheduled, I will have existing plus new reports coming in (prod to DR) and they will need to be paused manually which I want to avoid.
