which version of MS Office is required for Analysis for office 2.1?

Hi all,

which version of MS Office is required for Analysis for office 2.1?
In the administrator guide it is only mentioned that MS Office 2010 or 2013 is needed.
When i try to install Analysis for office 2.1 an error message appears that MS Office 2010 or 2013 (64 bit) couldn`t be found.

We have 32 bit Version of MS Office 2010.
Do we really need 64 bit Version?

thanks and best regards
Christian

Christian - there is a 32 bit version and a 64 bit version for Analysis Office

You use the version that your Microsoft Office has

For example, I am on a 64 bit operating system, but I have 32 bit MS Office, so I use Analysis Office 32 bit

Hi Christian,

do not  install Analysis for office 2.1. SP2. Please be aware the  following release   2.1.2 49735  has an issue with Excel 2010. If you try to close excel it freezes and disables the Exceladdin. Afterwards your unable to reactivate the Excel addin.

SAP has mentioned that they will provide a not to fix this problem (SAP Note 2223268).

This note will also be part of AFO 2.1 SP.3 , (planned release CW 48)

This issue should not occure with AFO 2.1 SP1 or older

The issue which I refer to is mentioned in the following thread

Hi,

I was trying to work with Office 2010 which is of 64 bit, I had AO 2.1 on 64 bit, but it is not working and complaining with a prompt error message, and when checked our SDN, it is clear that SAP supports Office 2010 32 bit and don't know whether 64 bit is supported or not., any details will help.,

tried to find out the matrix but couldn't online.

VV
