Printing graphics in smartforms

Former Member

Hello all.

I am creating a smartform wich includes a graphic with a checkbox.

The print preview seems ok. When i send it to the printer SAPLPD send all the conten to the printer without any errors but the printer shows the message "Processing Data" and wont print.

Anyone knows why can this be happening.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

try to convert your spool to a pdf file with the program : RSTXPDFT4.

After this, print the PDF into the printer, if the grahics is well printed, the probleme comes from your driver.

Hello,

The driver i am using is SAPWIN SAPWIN : Rel.4.x/SAPlpd 4.09+ and the printer is a HP LaserJet 4050 Series.

After converting to pdf the printing was ok.

What kind of problems can there be with the driver and how can i fix them?

Thank you

Sometimes, the graphics in color won't be printed by some drivers. Try to convert your graphics in black & white.

And don't forget to change the type of graph in your smartforms.

I tried importing the graphics as a black and white graphic and changing it in the smarform. As a result i cant see the graphic in the print preview and it still wont print.

Any more suggestions?

Thank you

If you don't see anything in print preview, it's maybe because you made an error in the smartforms parameters for the graphics.

Did you set BMON with good dpi ?

It still doenst print.

Like i said if the bitmap is B&W it doenst show in the preview and it doesnt print. If the bitmap is colored it shows up fine in the preview but it wont print either.

Could there be a problem with the import?

Thank you.

Hi,

Can I join this post.

Can you please check preview of your B&W graphic

Using T/code SE78. Is preview is displaying?

Please check the Window dimensions defined for your graphic. May be your graphic is not fitting in the window.

Check the resolution of graphic also.

Hi.

The graphics are being inserted into tables. In this case i can only define the width wich is enough. I dont believe there is a size problem since when i import the image as a color image the preview shows the images.

The real problem here is that even if the images show up in the previes (if they are in color) it wont print.

Hi,

if preview is ok, you must ask your system adminisator to check the drivers. You can't do anything else.

I checked the drivers and it does print, but with one problem, it will do continuous loops, it will keep printing the first page untill i shut down the printer.

Why could this be?

Thank you

Hi,

Could you elaborate ?

I think it's another problem, maybe open a new topic ?

Hi Nuno,

Please try to print graphic via T/code SE78. IF you are not able to print from SE78 then you have to check you printer Drivers.

Path> SE78> Graphic Name > Graphic(Menubar)> Print.

Otherwise you have to check your smartform.

I am still trying to print the smartform with the graphic.

I am trying to find a diferent driver that works better. Using a few other generic drivers and even hp drivers it does print the form (including the image). The problem is it starts an endless loop always printing the first page of the form.

Thank you

For your page problem, do you set the "next" page to the next page ? instead of "first" ?

Hi Nuno,

You can control your endloops by setting conditions.

You can define Conditions for NEXT page using COMMAND.

I have only one page in the smartform. And i have the next page defined to itself. IT takes 2 pages to print out the main window.

I believe it has nothing to do with this since the preview shows up with just 2 pages like it should.

Thank you.
