Error creating project with PPM 6.1

Hi,

We have been upgrading the version from SAP PPM 6.0 to SAP PPM 6.1. When I am trying to use the function "Create Project on Saving" I am not able to see the template project as per configuration and also if I save it, I get "Project XXX already exists", in fact there is no such project created in ECC.

Any help on his please.

Hello Stephen,

is the problem solved yet?

I think, breakpoint at cl_cgpl_application_log ~ msg_add may enable you find out. which kind of message it is, and how the call stack looks like.

If the problem persists, open a incident for it.

Dear Stephen,

you can set a breakpoint at FM DFM_DO_CREATE_PROCESSING where the DFM functionality is

triggered to create a project in Project Management in background.

You can also set breakpoints at:
class cl_inm_dfm_object_integration, method create_target_object

and

class cl_inm_of_project_helper, method create_object_with_template

Are you getting error only for project G-777888. Or for any project that you try to save .

For all projects, I change the item id and try saving again i get the same error with new item id.

Can you please goto tcode COCPCPR. and check if it is logging any message .

No logs registered in COCPCPR, as I am replicating to SAP PS and not to cPro.

HI Stephen,

When you  transfer project from cProjects to SAP PS , if you have any error logs then it will get logged in COCPCPR.  

In your pervious error screen shot, can you please click on display message log. Let us see if it can gives any clue, please paste it here.

There are no entries for this project error in PROJ or PRPS, Please see attached screen shot

The back end configuration was working perfectly in PPM 6.0, now I am not able to see even the template when I click "Create project on saving" after upgrade.
