Hello VS,

you are nearly there, what I found was that SAP must have one have access to the image location I am sure that the SAP Basis team has not set up direct access to your personal hard disk or C drive. I would recommend either uploaded the image into the application server using transaction AL11 to navigate to a folder you can use, you can see what directories are available for you and use transaction CG3Z and CG3Y to upload/download data into the application server. Before you upload the image file unto the application server you will need to name the file in accordance with the article number meaning if you have zero padded article numbers you will need to add this with the article number as an example article number # 000000000000113510.jpg or just 113510. Please note that by default SAP is looking for the article number as reference for the image to pull up within MM42/MM43.

Please remember to adjust your server path to the application server directory path within SPRO -> Logistics - General -> Material master - > Retail Specific Settings -> Settings for Image Data Display -> Edit Image Data Parameters.

What we ended up doing is having the SAP basis team allow SAP to directly access a public file server and we kept images there, again you will need to save the image as the article number and point to the appropriate directory from within the IMG.

Good Luck,

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for that.

I figured it out to work using local server.

Is it possible to provide the nomenclature of the server path maintained in IMG?

Hello V S

That's great to hear!

Can you please be more specific around nomenclature of the server path? If you mean you need to define more details around the actual path for the application to locate the file you may need to use transaction FILE to define a logical file path if you cannot specify a clear path within one of the server path fields under Full Image, Thumbnail, and Image Series.

Please advise

Thank you,
