Replacing standard search help with custom search help for tax code field in ME22N Tcode for restricting invalid tax codes in search result

Hi all,

Below is my requirement,

In ME22N transaction, there is a tax code (MWSKZ) field which is referring to a standard search help (SSH_T007A), but the standard search help is fetching invalid tax codes also. So, I was told to create a custom search help with a search help exit & implement it to restrict the invalid tax codes in the search result.

Below is what I did,

  • I created a custom search help with a search help exit which is working fine, ie, it is restricting the invalid tax codes.
  • The tax code field in ME22N transaction is referring to 'MEPO1317' structure. So, I replaced the standard search help which is referred by MWSKZ (tax code) field in MEPO1317 structure by my custom search help.

Below is the issue faced by me,

  • Even after replacing the standard search help with my custom search help, there is no change in the output, ie, the search result of tax code field in ME22N transaction is still showing invalid tax codes.
  • I tried keeping break point inside the search help exit of my custom search help, but it is not getting triggered.

What should I do to implement my custom search help properly? If anyone has any info related to this issue, please share it. Please help.

Thanks,

Sreeraj

    Hi ,

The help for this field is not implemented via SSH_T007A it is implemented via check table T007A.

simple way is to delete the the invalid tax codes from the table T007A.
