CRM Full client transfer -

Hi Friends,

We have initiated a CRM full client transfer between sender and receiver system.

At one point of time , one of the last subactivity - Subactivity TD09P_CDPOS ( total sub activiites - 5818 ) under " Data Deletion Start in the Receiver System " got repeatedly terminated and was re-executing for almost ( 80 times ) .  so we stopped the client deletion manually using troubleshooting action. There was a job that got triggered and it shows that stop - client deletion has been set.

Applied a relevant note ( suggested by basis team ) :

  2167647 - Issues while executing activity "Start data deletion in Receiver System"

  2140191 - Data Deletion activity getting aborted.

And now the activity : " Data Deletion Start in the Receiver System " shows a status with Green flag ( scheduled/Released ) .

I tried to manually go in to trouble shoot and tried to execute " Reset stop for client deletion" . It gives a message that an activity started but I do not see any jobs in the receiver system that is executing.

Also the flag for activity " Data Deletion Start in the Receiver System " still shows up not allowing me to proceed further. When I try to re-execute this activity , it says the acitivity is still on 'Release/Scheduled'.

Hello Vinodh,


It seems there may be some SQL issues when accessing the table CDPOS in the receiver system.

Can you check if some process /  job is running in the receiver system.

Try to check for any runtime errors / system logs or failed jobs that may exist in the receiver system relevant to TDMS . Checking the same should provide you a hint what is going wrong,

Also check the DB STATS for the table CDPOS in the receiver system.

In some situations if the DB STATS on CDPOS are obsolete or very old then that may lead to very slow progress.

Please share if this helps resolve your issue.

Hi ,

Took another look at the receiver system for failed job's and found that there is one failed activity in ST22.

Here is the error message :

The current ABAP program "CNV_MBT_DEL_RUN_DELETION_01" had to be terminated
because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_OVERFLOW', was not
caught in
procedure "CLUSTER_WRITE" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
When attempting to convert the value 32768, an overflow occurred.
an overflow occurred.

There is probably an error in the program
"CNV_MBT_DEL_RUN_DELETION_01".

I am not sure if the 'Release/schedule' flag was set because of this...I am also attaching some screenshots.

Hi Rajesh,

Control system activity " Data Deletion Start in the Receiver System " shows the status of green flag which is Scheduled/released status.

Note that you are referring to talks about the activity that shows as red flag.

Do you think that the note will still fix the issue. My problem is even today I am not able to restart the activity as it says that this activity is scheduled. I am finding it hard on how to set this status flag to 'In progress' or terminated before I start executing this activity again.

Does this note automatically reset the activity to 'not started' so that I can restart or do I have to go to trouble shoot mode and reset the pararmeter for stop client deletion parameter again.

Please advice.
