Hi,

check the permissions for the /sapmnt/<SID>/exe and try to create test file in the O.S manually.

Hi Adarsh,

Check the SAPinst which you are using as sometimes these error comes due to old/new SAPinst tools.

Try from different/old version's sapinst.

As, i also faced the same issue earlier and it is overcome and continued with next phase after using different sapinst.

Hi Adarash,

are you running the installation with user <sid>adm?

This is not supported by SAP.

Please start the installation under another admin account.

Hi Manuel,

I am running the installation using domain administrator. However i also tried installing using <sid>adm.

Hi Adarsh

You can use the domain user id, before starting the installation either you can create SIDADM & SAPServiceSID user id's in AD domain or existing SIDADM & SAPServiceSID user id's add to local administrator group. and then start the SAP application server.

Hi Manu,

When i tried to access sapmnt folder from the application server i was able to access it and i could also access default.pfl.

However is there any specific way we can confirm if the folder is shared or not?

Thanks&Regards,

Adarsh

Hi Jainer

1.  Have you disable the UAC & Firewall ?

2. SAP SIDADM & SAPServieSID user id as part of local administrator group?

Hi Sriram,

1.We have disabled both the UAC and firewall.

2.While installing both the SIDADM and SAPServiceSID i selected local domain only.

Thanks&Regards,

Hello Adarsh,

Please create a user on the system and provide it administrator rights and then try starting the installation. Avoid using default administrator user.

Thanks.
