hi,

Before starting with Managed system configuration,

Make sure you completed below steps,

1. Complete both System preparation and basic configuration steps without errors.

2. Sync JAVA system data from SLD to LMDB and verify all data are captured.

3. Install Diagnostic agents on DB and Application server and connect it to Solman and verify the connection.

Then you can start with Managed system configuration.

Dear Veekshith,

Thanks for your reply,

We have already completed below steps in solution manager

1.system Preparation

2.basis configuration

3.diagnosis agent installation and host agent installation

4.installed willyinterscope 9.5 successfully

5.Also installed WILY INTRO EM MGMT MODULES 9

But we did not installed Agent files( ISAGENTJ515_0-10010975.SCA) for the managed systems Introscope 9.5 .

Is it need to AGENT FILES ALSO FOR EWA?

Kindly advise,

Hi,

ISAGENT component will be installed in Managed system when you complete managed system configuration for java system

When you execute Byte code adapter installation(Automatic Activity) in Managed system configuration ISAgent will be deployed.

Dear  Veekshith,

As per above link,we need to installed

"The ISAgent*.SCA files must be deployed only in the Solution Manager JAVA stack. You do not need to deploy the ISAgent*.SCA files in the managed system using SDM.

During the activity Byte Code Adapter Installation, the correct ISAgent is deployed/unpacked in all managed systems hosts automatically".

So We need to deploy only in solution manager only?

Kindly advise,

Hi,

Yes you need to deploy in Solution Manager.

Please verify your solution manager JAVA stack whether it consist of ISAgent deployed if not they deploy ISAgent in solman,

vm

Note: Based on your Managed System JVM version ISAgent will be deployed in Managed system.

Hi,

As its referred in SAP Note 2068401.

  • For Java 1.4 the ISAgent 8.x will be deployed. If there is no (ISAgent_MIN_J5) on the Solution Manager the ISAgent 8.x is also deployed for systems running on Java 1.5 and 1.6
  • If the the ISAgent 9.1.x (ISAgent_MIN_J5) is deployed on the Solution Manager then for Managed Systems running on Java 1.5 and higher ISAgent 9.1.x is deployed
  • For Managed Systems running on Java 1.7 and higher please refer to the Introscope Release Notes

You can proceed with Managed System configuration for JAVA.

Please verify JVM version in your JAVA system based on version Solman will deploy ISAgent.

If your Java system is running on Java 1.5 and 1.6 then it requires ISAgent_MIN_J5 but is Solman doesn't have  ISAgent_MIN_J5  then it will deploy ISAgent 8.x.

Hi Veekshith,

still we need to ISAgent_MIN_J5?

can we proceed with manager system configuration for java.

Please advise,

Hi,

ISAgent version deployed on the Managed System when performing the Managed System Configuration is depends on the Java version of the Managed System and the ISAgent version(s) deployed on the Solution Manager

Please verify java version on managed system based on that solman will deploy ISAgent.

As per the note you can proceed with managed system configuration. but if your Managed system running on Java 1.6 or 1.5 its good if you deploy ISAgent_MIN_J5 in solman

Hello Imran,

The rule is one diagnostics agent per host. For HA environments we can use agents on the fly.
I provided you wiki with detailed steps in your post asking about diagnostics agents.

It should help you resolve your issues and get EWA.
