Microsoft Dynamics GP - Crystal error: Could not set the logon information.

We use Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 R2 version 12.00.2038 and Professional Advantage 1Staff Add-on tool version 145. 1Staff uses Crystal Reports to create invoices for our customers. The invoices are printed to Adobe PDF. We intermittently get Crystal Report errors. One of them is the one above. We are on version 11.0.0.128227. Why are we getting this error? Our engineering department has checked connectivity and that is not an issue.

Version 11.0 has been out of support for 5+ years. If it uses the RDC ( craxdrt.dll ) it's been out of support since then also.

We are up to CR 2016, time to upgrade.

I don't anything about that program or how it integrates CR into it but likely it is not releasing the Reports when you are done with them. Check your coding.

It could be also you have too many open connections to your database, SQL Server now uses connection pooling, try turning that off.

I think you'll need to check with 1Staff support on this one. Looks like this tool has intermittent issues passing logon info to Microsoft.
