HANA XS - Eclipse/WebIde cannot save/activate/delete anymore

Hi fellow devs,

For the past 3 weeks, I'm busy preparing for a demo built on my HANA trial account. However, since yesterday I cannot do anything anymore in my XS app. I tried using Eclipse and the Webide to manipulate my files. Every time I try to save or delete - any - file or package within the package the webide hangs. I then used Eclipse to try the same but then Eclipse hangs on activation.

I even tried to backup all files and delete my entire XS instance via the cockpit but even this fails! After a few minutes I get a "DATA READ" error.

Since my demo is due on Thursday I used a colleague's trial account to deploy my app on. After I copied my files I ended up in the same situation in his account. So I guess there must be something in my files that makes the Instance crash, but I have no way of changing anything anymore...

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Gert

    Gert,

I am also seeing issues with HANA trial environment. I posted reply in . However it seems like it was fixed for the original poster.

    I am using 100% Web Workbench/IDE.

    My issue:

    ======

I am having the same issue today (Oct 6 10am EST) with multiple accounts on s9hanaxs.hanatrial.ondemand.com. Not sure if it's the same issue but:

    • I cannot save/activate any objects on HANA trial accounts on that server (s9HANA).
    • I can save/activate on accounts other servers (s2HANA and s7HANA).
    • I can load the Editor and Catalog without issue
    • I can view xsjs/html pages that were previously saved
    • Accounts: p1941684460, p1941674349 & p1941684604

In some cases when I wait long enough I see in the console:

10:48:49 >> Error in WebSocket Connection to backend

10:48:49 >> WebSocket connection for debugging closed.

10:53:29 >> Error while saving file

    ======

Not sure if it's something you are doing vs. something that is happening to the server? It happened to a brand new account that I created with a new email just to confirm. (If we are seeing the same issue.)

I am preparaing an external lab and this is really holding things up.

I believe there is planned downtime Oct 7 or 8, but I did not see Oct 6th in the thread: .

I am also facing the same issue and i think this issue is with this "s9hanaxs.hanatrial.ondemand.com" server.

This might be an issue with Trial HANA Server. So SAP needs to resolve this i guess.

Issues doesn't seem to be resolved indeed. I hope someone from the HCP team picks this up...

    Hi All,

I'm still experiencing issues with saving my scripts on the trial HCP S8 box.

Are there steps I can take to resolve this?

    Cheers,

    Sam

      Hi Wayne,

      Thanks for your response.

I've hit numerous road blocks with the trial instance and It's proving rather difficult to have decent uptime as this is the 3rd time I've had this issue.

I'll look into having another account and instance. Hopefully it will give me some redundancy!

      Cheers,

      Sam
