Hello Gurus ,
Need your suggestions and comments .
Our client has about 50000 different kinds of materials and they are into the automotive business. At present cycle count process is initiated based on the mover codes (A, B and C).
Due to system initiated process this process becoming cumbersome and we want to control this process by using user initiated process (Dynamic cycle counting process).
Currently dynamic process is being worked in Development system.
While counting using DCC process I am facing bin locking issues. During the counting process system is not able to create transfer order for this BIN
and system is giving message "Bin is locked for cycle counting".
Is there a way to do cycle counting without locking BINs.
Please share your experience and any alternative solution.
Thanks.
you can explore in the configuration DCC functionality. You may be able to enable CC even when TOs are open.

Hello Nilesh,
for the cycle count you can create inventory records in advance using transaction LICC. This will perform a SAP operator and you can eather print the document and give to operator or you can assign name of counter and he will see the inv. record in RF device. LICC will block only the quants you want to count. You should check more at:
Cycle Counting at Quant Level (Quant Inventory) - Warehouse Management System (WMS) - SAP Library

You CAN NOT . As soon as you initiate cycle counting for a bin it will lock it for counting.
You MIGHT have chance in EWM but not in WM to my knowledge.
If some one finds it in WM then it will be great.

Looking at your TO screen I can see that TO is getting created for Outbound process (destination storage type 916) once the Inventory is active you cannot create Putaway or Picking TO from the Bin.
for any type of physical inventory be it (Annual count / Continuous count or DCC) you need to activate the Inventory and once the inventory record is active you cannot perform Picking or put away process from the same bin
