URL for data preview is missing after create Composite provider

Hi experts,

After finish a Composite Provider  creation in Eclipse, I selected tab "Output"and then  the button "Show preview", but preview is not shown, instead I got the message "URL for data preview is missing!".

What is the URL requested and how is its configuration?

My system is BW on HANA 7.4 SP9.

Hi Gordon,

We had the same issue and was fixed by implementing SAP Note, 2212389.

In order to enable the HTTPS connection,

1. Go to Tcode, SMICM

2. Click on Services

3. In the 'Service' menu, click on 'Create'

4. Enter the appropriate details.

     New Port Service: 8<Sever Instance Number>1 (Eg: 8001, in case your instance number is 00)

     In the Protocol Field select 'HTTPS'

     Keep Alive (in Secs)

     Max. Processing Time

     SSL Client Verification: 1 Optional

5. Click Create

This should enable your HTTPS connection. You could now login to your HANA Studio and check the 'BW Reporting Preview' by clicking on Refresh.

Thank you Kiran, your instruction worked .

However, the settings are not permanent and will be lost on restart of the Netweaver.

To add the protocol permanently, we have to add it to the instance profile (/nRZ10).

The note you mentioned didn't help, because it contains no detailed instructions.

You have to enable HTTPS. Note 517484
