Problem in batch determination

Hi ,

We have automatic batch determination configured in the system. For that also we have customized report which show which batch having how much shelf life please see attached screenshots.

while creating delivery batch getting determine automatically for item 027962, batch-FE6484 but as per the remaining shelf life batch-FE4713 should get determine for item 027962 which we can see from the batch report.

So as per the process batch FE4713 has a self-life percentage 84.57% and batch FE6484 has a self-life percenatge 91.60%, so logically batch FE4713 should be picked up 1st in delivery because it has a lower self life, but batch FE6484 is getting picked but have manually corrected the batch in delivery.

So system should propsoe the batch which has low self-life 1st  and also  please let me how system is proposing the batch currently.

In batch determination strategy type it was based on expiration date ascending order. Please see attached screenshots. Then while older shelf life batch getting determined rather than which is having less

And what do you get to see if you click the button for strategy analysis and the button Log ?

Both are located in the batch split screen and should help to trouble shoot how SAP carried out the determination. Don't forget to open the collapsed section when your are there.

when I checked the analysis. There is two access. For one access sort rule maintained. For another access there is not sort rule is maintained.

In this case first access got triggered .which is not having any sort rule maintained in VCH2. I guess that causing the problem not sorting the batches.

Whats is your opinion on this?
