Hi,
'Notes' functionality is included in 'Accounts' as well as 'Activities'.
When I add any new 'Notes' tab in the Accounts, I see a proper changelog of all the previous and the new notes that the user has created
(Please refer to the attached images)
However, such a functionality is missing in 'Tasks' and 'Appointments'
1) The 'Notes' tab is missing in 'Tasks' as well as in 'Appointments'
2) A notes field is provided in the 'Overview' tab, but still it does not support the change history feature.
Also, any new note you create at any time, is appended to the already existing note without creating a separate note entry
Has anyone found any workaround for this ?
Can we configure the system to include a changelog ?
Thanks,
Anand J.
This is as designed. The standard note feature for most objects is the multi-line text UI that you see in the Activity. In the few other objects an advanced notes feature where you can create multiple instances of notes and manage them independently is available such as in the Account and Ticket. Submit an Idea feedback request and it will be evaluated with the rest of the enhancements planned for the Activity feature set.

Hello Anand,
We now have confirmed information that this was a bug and has been addressed in the next release.
post the upgrade you will observe the changelogs of Activities also recording changes made to notes.
Thank you.

Hello Anand,
This is apparently a bug in the software that does not record the change log of Notes and Attachments of Activities.
We are coordinating further with the development team responsible for Activities and shall update you once we have made a breakthrough.
Thanks,
Suraj

Anand,
I'd propose you to log an incident just to confirm you are not missing something.
However, I believe that the workaround is to develop it through PDI by embedding a standard component so it logs all the changes.
Hope this helps you.
Regards.
Alejandro.
